Spring is slowly reviving me from laziness...

Thank you to those who commented or favorited things in my gallery! I'm surprised anyone is looking at my gallery really.   It's hard to believe that I haven't updated my DA in a year, but honestly I've stopped drawing pretty much altogether. I'm kind of embarrassed to say so, but other than to edit a photo or clip art for a worksheet I'm making for a class, or occasionally drawing on a chalkboard, I haven't drawn anything in a year. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Looking at DA made me feel guilty for spending 5 years and 25K on an art degree, to end up teaching English and no longer having a desire to draw, so I avoided it...

Some big life changes did happen; I'm still trying to get comfortable. Basically, I got a job teaching English in Japan last year. I accepted the job, moved to Japan alone, and got my very first apartment. Knowing nothing about teaching it took a while to get the jist of it, and I'm just starting to feel competent at it now. I love my 800 students and decided to stay another year at least so I can see another class through graduation. I went to Taiwan for 2 weeks on winter vacation. That was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I've gone to 16 concerts here since July. I still haven't finished furnishing my apartment because of going to said concerts and buying tour goods there...XD My apartment is still lacking some furniture, but because of my bad spending habits when outside of my apartment and my desire to travel so much, I haven't saved enough money to get things like a bed or couch or kitchen table/chairs yet. XD;;

And things like stress/homesickness/job/friends have distracted me enough from sitting down and drawing. I haven't spent a lot of time online really either, as I usually eat when I get home and fall asleep soon after. But now that it's getting warmer and it's staying light outside until almost 7, I'm feeling like I finally have some of my energy back that I lost when winter came.

I'm working on getting out of this art block.
